Breakfast in bed for mother’s day

I was gifted something extra special during the week.

This time next weekend I will be enjoying breakfast in bed for Mother’s Day and it’s all thanks to a little help from IGA.

Beafast in bed for Mother's Day

A box arrived on my door step, full of goodies from IGA. In fact it wasn’t for me exactly, it was for my husband and kids. IGA had given them all the tools and ingredients needed to make me a Mother’s Day Breakfast in bed – right down to the aprons, one in each size for my kids (Little L’s apron is so tiny and cute).

New research from IGA has found that breakfast in bed is fast becoming a forgotten tradition in Australia. Apparently 66% of mums have never been treated to a good old brekky in bed on Mother’s Day in the past three years. For my fellow mum’s it won’t surprise you to know that breakfast in bed tops the list of mum’s most valued gifts for Mother’s Day.

IGA Mother's Day Breakfast in Bed

I love breakfast in bed (any day of the year), so I was happy to hear IGA are championing the revival of breakfast in bed on Mothers Day! I am looking forward to my Sticky Apple Pancakes next Sunday and of course most of all spending time with my beautiful kids (no matter how the pancakes turn out!)

There’s some great Mother’s Day recipe ideas online at www.iga.com.au/mothers-day/ you’ll also find specials and offers in IGA stores for these recipes! I love the section ‘Top Tips for Dad’ (might be a good idea to leave this page up on the computer by accident).

Whatever you’re doing and how ever you spend Mother’s Day…a BIG Happy Mother’s Day to you all!!

I hope you have a special day xxx

P.S. I’ll be sure to post a picture of my Sticky Apple Pancakes to Instagram next Sunday.

Just so you know: I received the box (picture above) with products from IGA to make the Sticky Apple Pancakes for Mother’s Day. I received no payment for this post and the opinions expressed are entirely my own.
