Easter treat from IGA

Happy Easter Banner

It’s almost Easter and if Halloween is all about candy, then Easter is all about chocolate.

I love receiving pressies. As a blogger I get gifted lots of great stuff and last Friday I found a lovely little IGA hamper on my door step. The hamper was a cute little hessian number and was full of ingredients to make a yummy Easter treat.

IGA Easter Recipe

Warning: This recipe is not paleo, sugar free or raw. It is a delicious treat. If you’re looking for some raw unprocessed health food then this post is probably not for you…if that’s what you prefer though check out my parmy kale chip recipe 🙂

I opened up the hamper and I enlisted a cooking helper, Miss J, and we began creating the Choc Cornflake Slice. This slice is super quick and easy to make and very, very delicious 🙂

The Choc Cornflake Slice was a success as you can see from the picture below. If you’re into a ‘healthier’ option this recipe is easily modified. If I was to make it again I would add extra cranberries, coconut and cornflakes. You could even replace the cornflakes with rice puffs? The milk chocolate could be replaced with dark and you could add cacao butter instead of copha (for a no-bake version). The possibilities are endless 🙂

If there is any time of year that screams chocolate then it’s Easter, so I am happy to allow the kids an occasional treat over the Easter break along with their Easter Eggs. The recipe for the Choc Cornflake Slice is below for you to print out.

How ever you are spending Easter, IGA have everything you’ll need to keep the tribe fed and happy. You can also checkout the Easter section of their website which has a whole heap of recipes (including this Choc Cornflake Slice)

Enjoy!
