Forget-me-not Fairies

July 10, 2013 Kids, Win Comments Off on Forget-me-not Fairies

Enter into a magical fairyland….

At the end of the path where the forget-me-nots grow,
There’s a gate to a land that nobody knows.
By the magic of the sky and the river and the trees,
By the magic of the rainbow and the fragrant breeze,
I believe in Wishaway Wood,
I believe, I believe, I believe!

My 6 year old daughter was SUPER excited when the magical new book from Hinkler arrived in the mail.
The book titled Forget-me-not Fairies is set in Wishaway Wood, a world full of fairies, pixies and goblins It’s a place where magical creatures come to life and anything is possible.

This is such a beautiful book with lovely illustrations. When my daughter isn’t reading it, you will find it in the “special section” where all her favourite books go. This is a large book and I particularly love the padded cover. Inside is 11 original stories about the adventures of sisters, Sophie and Ellen and their new fairy friends.

The book is written by Australian author Marianne Musgrove and hand illustrated by award-winning UK artist Patricia MacCarthy. There are some wonderful characters like Bilberry the Gnome and gatekeeper to Wishaway Wood. This is the perfect book for girls aged 5 to 8 years, full of poems, maps, songs and activities.

Forget-me-not Fairies (RRP $19.99) was released in June (2013) and is available from all good book stores, department stores, newsagents and online retailers.

Forget-me-not Fairies has it’s own website where you can find out more about the stories, characters and download craft activities. Visit http://www.forgetmenotfairies.com for more information.
