The Boy who loved the moon

The Boy Who Loved the Moon is a stunning picture book created by award-winning Italian cartoonist and filmmaker Rino Alaimo.

The picture book is an adaptation of Rino’s short film of the same name which won accolades around the world. The film has a different (extended) ending to the book, you can see the film below.

This is a beautiful book which tells the story of a boy who tries to win the heart of the Moon. With determination, the boy offers gifts to the moon to win her love, but no riches seem to please the Moon.

It’s only after the boy offers something the moon has never ever seen before that he finally win’s the affection he has been seeking.

I read this book to my kids as a bed time story and they were captivated. It is a truly beautiful book – both pictures and story.
