Aquamamma at the Babyology Baby Shower High Tea

I was so lucky to once again be invited to the Babyology Baby Shower High Tea on Sunday.

The Babyology Baby Shower High Tea has to be one of the best events for pregnant and new mums. The High Tea’s are held in both Melbourne and Sydney and there is two sittings each day (12pm and 3pm). Last Sunday I attended the 12pm sitting at the beautiful Intercontinental Double Bay, Sydney.

The venue is amazing and the food is divine, and it has to be one of the best high tea’s I’ve had!

It’s a relatively intimate setting compared to those big baby expos, so you get to spend some quality time talking with the people behind the products and services on display.

One of the products at this Babyology Baby Shower High Tea was a fabulous new drink called Aquamamma.

Aquamamma

It can be hard to get adequate hydration during pregnancy, birth and breastfeeding and let’s face it, water gets a little bland after a while. Sports drinks can provide hydration but have huge amounts of sugar and sodium, and other ingredients you may not want to drink while pregnant.

Dr Rob Buist, an Australian Obstetrician saw the need for a drink that would provide hydration to pregnant, birthing and breastfeeding mothers.

hydration in pregnancy

Dr Rob Buist developed aquamamma® – A beverage that is low in calories, low in sugar and contains natural colours and sweeteners. It also contains a small amount of Folic Acid to help meet nutritional requirements and it comes in three tasty flavours – Lemon, Orange and Mixed Berry. I have tried the orange flavour and it tastes really good.

I suffered from terrible morning sickness with my pregnancies and this drink would have made such a difference!

Aquamamma

The other great thing about Aquamamma is that it’s ok for kids. My kids always want those big sports drinks but I don’t like them to have too much sugar so if your looking for something that’s more appealing to the kids than water you will be glad to know that Aquamamma is perfect for kids too.

For more information about Aquamamma visit their website or find them on Facebook.

I’ve just had a daughter! By getting extra nutrients from Aquamumma, not consuming loads of sugar, has to be good for producing quality breast milk.

I had all day and night sickness till 3 months after my son was born. This may have saved a few hospital visits. Chasing 3 young ones around the north of Australia.. I need all the hydration I can get.

Drs still cannot explain why I have daily nausea, 16 years and counting, would love to try it rather than the meds that aren’t working.

Aquamumma I love that I could drink it guilt free because it is good for you.
It was the only drink that would quench my insatiable thirst.

I’m currently collecting food/drink/toiletries for Wesley Mission’s Christmas Appeal, so I’d donate the Aquamamma for a mum-to-be to benefit from.
