VTech Review

VTech is a world leader in age-appropriate and developmental, stage-based, electronic learning products for children.

I love toys that are not only fun, but also educational. VTech is a name that springs to mind when I think innovative educational products which make learning fun.

VTech has been around almost 35 years and has something for everyone, from birth to 9 years. VTech toys offer the right mix of fun play time with enhanced learning and development for all ages. When my kids were younger we had a great range of VTech toys which my kids really enjoyed. Unfortunately my kids have out grown most of the VTech range for younger kids, but I have some one else who may be able to help me out with a review of these great products.

Introducing my new reviewer, my super cute one year old nephew – Little O.

First up Little O tested the VTech Little Friendlies Starlight Sounds Polar Bear

The Little Friendlies range encourages discovery and stimulates the senses with sounds, colours and soothing melodies, all wrapped up in cute and cuddly animal characters. Due to the success and popularity of the Starlight Sounds Hippo, VTech have introduced the Starlight Sounds Polar Bear.

Vtech Polar Bear

Little Friendlies Starlight Sounds Polar Bear will soothe your baby to sleep.

There are three soothing songs (that are sung) and 60 relaxing melodies in the lullaby mode and seven popular nursery rhymes read in the story mode.

My nephew loved the lights!

The bear projects four different coloured lights with the option of six different light displays onto the ceiling whilst playing calming nature sounds and lullabies in the nature and lullaby mode.

The lights intrigued Little O for a while but mum said that she felt he may have been a bit old for the Starlight Sounds Polar Bear as it didn’t hold his interest for too long. This would be perfect to settle a younger baby but Little O did like playing with the bear’s ears and nose!

The Starlight Sounds Polar Bear is suitable from birth and is RRP $54.95. You will find it in-store this month (July) at all good independent toy stores. If you prefer the Starlight Sounds Hippo you can find him in Kmart!

Next up Little O gave the VTech Little Singing Puppy a whirl.

Well, Little O really liked the puppy, he loved the singing and barking. When you press the light up buttons you hear sing-along songs, playful melodies and fun phrases.

The music on puppy really made Little O smile and he looked for other buttons to press to make more sounds.

Give the puppy a hug while you learn about numbers, objects and sounds. The soft puppy features different textures to encourage touching and cuddling. Little O also enjoyed pressing the buttons – waiting for the puppy to talk and see the lights come on.

Mum liked that this toy was fun and friendly, interactive with music, counting as well as being a soft cuddly toy.

Little Singing Puppy is available in pink and brown, these adorable puppies attach to a car seat, cot or high-chair for on-the-go fun. Suitable for 3-18 months, RRP $16.95. The Vtech Little Singing Puppy is in-store this month (July) from Big W and all good independent toy stores.
